"Abundance" Screening - A Short Film by Amber J. Phillips at Junior High Los Angeles

We are so pleased to bring you the first Los Angeles screening of the award winning short film “Abundance” at the beloved community space Junior High Los Angeles! “Abundance” is a 3-part short film that explores the limitations and radical possibilities of identity from the perspective of a jaded politico, Black storyteller, and pop culture enthusiast with Black queer feminist intentions. Watch the trailer here.

The screening will conclude with a Q+A with filmmaker Amber J. Phillips and director of photography Sade Ndya.

Per the venue, you must show proof of vaccination to attend the screening!

About Amber J. Phillips:

Amber J. Phillips is a storyteller, filmmaker, and art director whose work imagines a world where Black womanhood is an abundant overwhelming experience of safety, pleasure, and joy. Amber’s work draws on her life as a Black, fat, queer, femme, auntie from the Midwest. Amber is devoted to using radical Black imagination to create stories, art, culture, and community.
